Mission Statement: Our mission is to offer You and Your pet the most comprehensive and highest quality veterinary care available by stressing Preventative Medicine

  • Our goal is to prevent problems for both you and your pet in every instance possible by giving you the best care and information available.
  • We respect that your pet is a valued member of your family and we will do our best to earn your respect with every visit.
  • There are may diseases that can be transmitted by your pet to the human members of your family that we want to avoid. Those transmittable diseases are called zoonoses. Zoonotic diseases are becoming more common as our pets now live in much closer contact with humans than ever before.
  • There are numerous disease processes we can avoid when we team up with you and your pet's best interest at the forefront.
  • We will continually strive to update our procedures and practices to adapt to the latest recommendations of recognized authorities such as the CDC (Centers For Disease Control) and CAPC (Companion Animal Parasitic Control) to prevent diseases from occurring in both pets and people.

Dr. Christina Kresser, a 1995 graduate of the Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine, purchased The Animal Hospital of Padre Island in May of 2006. She has been a member of the Coastal Bend Veterinary Medical Association for the last 8 years and a member of Veterinary Associations on the state and national level for the last 13 years. Locally she is an active member of the Lion's Club, the Obedience Club of Corpus Christi, Agility Unleashed, and is a licensed evaluator and instructor for Delta Society. She has worked closely with the Gulf Coast Humane Society on several cases, most memorably helping with the Katrina dogs that came through our area. She has also rescued several injured animals, treated them, trained them and adopted them out to loving homes, in some cases her own.
